BACKGROUND

 

Kim Kardashian is the one of world’s most famous women, yet no one seems to know why. Through examination, it is clear that Kim Kardashian has a theme of money, sex, and exhibitionism weaved through her lifetime. Her fame, relevance and career is dependent on her putting her life on display, even her most private moments, and selling it.

 

BRIEF

 

To take a subject or object and transform it, while maintaining its essence.

 

IDEA

 

Through analysis and experimentation I captured the essence of Kim Kardashian by transforming her into a neon peep show sign that could be viewed as an art installation in London’s Soho, an area with rich sexual history.

 

The secondary material­ – an exhibition proposal, invitations and posters – made to advertise the installation further transformed the work and made the piece conceivable.
