On Friday the 11th of March 2011, an earthquake of the pacific coast of Tohoku caused mass destruction in Japan. Many displaced people were without water and power, and needed help immediately.
I wanted to encourage people to help out in whatever way they could. I made a posters that called people to help. I purpousely did not tell people what charity to donate money or supplies to because it really did not matter; the people of japan just simply needed help.
I decided to use the circle from the Japanese flag to make infographics so people walking by could quickly see just how many people needed help.
The simplicity and clarity of the posters allowed for immediate impact. I had Japanese students in my college approach to me and tell me that they really liked and appreciated my series of posters.
