BRIEF

 

ACCESS wanted a small animation to go into one of their information videos in a very specific style. It was not to look too corporate and must be easy to read.

 

IDEA

 

I worked closely with filmmaker Jordan Mayfield of Flow Point Productions. He was making the information video for ACCESS and my animation would go into his video. I made several different story boards untill Jordan and I agreed on the final one. We wanted a video that focused on different careers and ended showing a comunity of career people. I wanted the focus to be on the charaters and not the background, yet i wanted it to look local. Therfore I made a muted background taht included some of vancouver landmarks, such as the mountains, the iconic East Van cross and buildings with roof top gardens. I wanted to incorperate colours of the ACCESS logo in the design and ended up using them for the type and backgound.

 

RESULT

 

A short animation showing different carees ACCESS has helped people in the aboriginal community get.
